Adab al-Zifaf fi al-Sunnah al-MutahharahNasir al-Din al-Albani

when Abū Usayd al-Saʿidī was married⦗1⦘ he invited the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions. No one prepared or served them any food except his wife, Umm Usayd, who—according to another report—had soaked a few dates overnight in a stone bowl⦗2⦘. When the Prophet ﷺ had finished eating, she strained the infusion⦗3⦘ and offered it to him as a gesture of honour. [That day his wife waited upon them, though she herself was the bride]⦗4⦘.

(1) That is, he consummated the marriage with his wife. Lisan al-Arab states: "arras and a‘ras both mean to take a woman as a bride and to enter upon her; likewise, arras biha and a‘ras." (2) A vessel usually made of copper or similar metals; this narration specifies that it was made of stone. (3) Meaning: she mixed (or kneaded) it with her hand. The verb occurs in both the triliteral form mathatha and the quadriliteral form amathatha. (4) Reported by al-Bukhari (9/200, 205, 206); al-Bukhari also cites it in al-Adab al-mufrad, no. 746; by Muslim (6/103); by Abu Awana in his Sahih (8/131/1–2); by Ibn Majah (nos. 590–591); by al-Ruyani in his Musnad (28/189/1–190/1); by al-Tabarani in al-Awsat (1/132/1); and by al-Baghawi in Sharh al-sunnah (3/197/1). Al-Hafiz comments:
