Chapter: Women whom it is forbidden to marry together
It is unlawful for a man to be married at the same time to a woman and her sister—whether the two sisters share both parents, only the mother, or only the father. The same prohibition extends to her nieces: the daughters of her sister, the daughters of her brother, and all of their female descendants, however remote. Likewise, he may not combine her with her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt, nor with the paternal aunt of her paternal aunt or the maternal aunt of her maternal aunt, no matter how far back the lineage goes.
