Al-KāfīIbn Abd al-Barr

Wahb on the question of blowing, and the same opinion was voiced by Ashhab. Ibn al-Qasim transmitted from Mālik that blowing counts as speech, and— in my view—this applies when the listener can clearly make out the letters of the alphabet. In that case it breaks the prayer of the one who does it deliberately, though not of the one who forgets.

A worshiper is not to prompt the recitation for someone who is not praying, nor for another worshiper engaged in a separate prayer; yet he may prompt his own imam. In no situation does his prayer become invalid because he recites Qur’an, nor because of any supplication or earnest entreaty he makes.
