the fixed-share heirs, who number sixteen in all: the maternal grandfather; the grandmother who is the mother of the paternal grandfather; the grandmother who is the mother of the maternal grandfather; the children of maternal half-brothers and half-sisters; the maternal uncle; his children; the maternal aunt; her children; the mother’s paternal uncle; his children; the paternal aunt; her children; the children of daughters; the children of sisters—of every line; the daughters of sisters; and the daughters of paternal uncles. Anyone more remote than these is, a fortiori, not entitled to any share.
