her husband has consummated the marriage with her and thus become acquainted with her, or she has long passed the usual age for marriage—together with the maturity we mentioned earlier. If the guardian hands her property over to her before one of these conditions is fulfilled, he is liable for any amount she spends beyond her basic maintenance.
