This is a well-known hadith; it was also transmitted from the Prophet ﷺ by ʿAli ibn Abi Talib, Ibn ʿUmar, Anas, and others.
38- The hadith of Qatadah ibn al-Nuʿman: he heard the Prophet ﷺ say, “When Allah finished creating His creation, He rose over His Throne.” Its transmitters are reliable, and it was narrated by Abu Bakr al-Khallal in his book al-Sunnah.¹
39- A hadith that al-Bukhari brought in the “Refutation of the Jahmiyyah” section of his Ṣaḥīḥ, in the chapter entitled “To Him ascend the goodly words,” on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbas, who said: “News of the Prophet’s mission reached Abu Dharr, so he said to his brother, ‘Find out for me about this man who claims that information comes to him from heaven.’”
40- The hadith of ʿImran ibn Ḥuṣayn: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Accept the glad tidings, O Banu Tamim!” They replied, “You have already given us glad tidings—now give us something.” He said, “Accept the glad tidings, O people of Yemen!” They said, “You have already given us glad tidings, so rule for us concerning this matter—how was it?” He replied, “Allah was above the Throne; He existed before everything, and He wrote in the Tablet everything that will occur.” This is a sound hadith that al-Bukhari recorded in several places. 2/29

The way this imam proceeded therefore indicates the permissibility
