25- A sound ḥadith. Aḥmad and others transmitted it from him by two authentic chains, and I have cited it in al-Mishkāt (3465).
34- From him as well, who said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, “The murder victim will be brought, clinging to his killer, his jugular veins gushing blood, until he is brought before the Throne, saying, ‘My Lord, ask this man why he killed me.’”
35- The report of ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAmr:
“Allah placed water above the seventh heaven, and above the water He placed the Throne. By Him in Whose hand is my soul, both my own soul and the moon know that they will end up in the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.”
This is a mawqūf narration.
26- I say: The compiler cited it through the chain of Rūḥ ibn ʿUbādah—one of Aḥmad’s teachers—going back to Ibn ʿAmr, and the isnād is authentic.
36- Al-Barāʾ reported: “We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a funeral procession. He related the ḥadith in full, and concerning the soul he said: ‘…until it is taken up to the seventh heaven, whereupon Allah, Exalted be He, says: Return him.’”
Its chain is acceptable.
27- I say: It is reproduced in Aḥkām al-Janāʾiz.
37- From Salmān al-Fārisī, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Your Lord is modest and generous; He is shy, when His servant raises his hands to Him in supplication, to send them back empty, with nothing in them.”
28- A sound ḥadith, cited in al-Mishkāt (2244), Ṣaḥīḥ Abī Dāwūd (133), and al-Targhīb, 2/273.
