10- I say: Exactly so. The chain cited by the author in the original work is sound, yet in the sources available to me I have not found it transmitted from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī. Its meaning, however, appears in both Ṣaḥīḥs and elsewhere from Abū Hurayrah as a Prophetic report, with wording similar to what has already been quoted in this book under no. 11. Aḥmad’s Musnad contains several routes for it—2/268, 328, 404, 418, 431, 528, 541—and Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim included it in al-Sunnah, no. 824.
15- Ḥadīth of Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ: The Prophet ﷺ said to Saʿd ibn Muʿādh, “You have judged concerning them with the judgment of the King who is above the seven heavens.” Authentic; reported by al-Nasaʾī.
11- I add: Al-Bayhaqī also related it in al-Asmāʾ wa-l-Ṣifāt, p. 420, with a good chain containing Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Tammār. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said about him, “reliable, though he makes mistakes,” and the author lists him in al-Mīzān, citing the scholars’ differing views. The report is further supported by a mursal narration from ʿAlqamah ibn Waqāṣ, transmitted by Ibn Isḥāq as noted in Fatḥ al-Bārī. The author likewise quotes it in the original work through the route of Muḥammad ibn Mālik from Saʿd ibn Muʿādh … and remarks, “This is mursal.” A concise version of the report is found in the two Ṣaḥīḥs from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī.
16- Ḥadīth of Anas: The Prophet ﷺ said,
“Then I shall enter upon my Lord while He is upon His Throne.”
It contains Zāʾidah ibn Abī al-Ruqād, who is weak. A narration with similar wording is recorded in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī from Anas, in which the Prophet ﷺ says, “I will ask permission to enter upon my Lord in His abode, and permission will be granted to me.” Abū Aḥmad al-ʿAssāl also reported it in Kitāb al-Maʿrifah with a strong chain from Thābit, from Anas, including the words:
“I will come to the gate of Paradise and it will be opened for me; I will then approach my Lord while He is upon His Chair or His Couch, and I will fall prostrate before Him,” and he mentioned the remainder of the ḥadīth.
