and He created Adam with His Hand, and He wrote the Torah with His Hand.
– I say: al-Ājurri cited this in al-Sharīʿah (p. 303) with a sound chain. ʿAbd Allah also recorded a similar wording in al-Sunnah (p. 68), though his version omits any mention of the “touch” and the “planting of Paradise.” The author likewise declared it authentic in al-Arbaʿīn (fol. 179/2). It has been transmitted in full through ʿIkrimah, but that chain is weak, and something similar is narrated from Khālid ibn Maʿdān.
Al-Dārimī (p. 35) produced it through Maysarah with the same wording, and its narrators are trustworthy.
A version from Anas, on the authority of Kaʿb, carries the same content with a sound chain; al-Ājurri also cited it.
105 – The hadith of Abū Dharr: the Prophet ﷺ said, “O Abū Dharr, the seven heavens compared with the Kursi are like a ring cast upon a desolate plain, and the superiority of the Throne over the Kursi is like that of the plain over the ring.”
Ibrāhīm “is nothing,” although some scholars declared him reliable.
91 – I said: he is not the sole transmitter of this report; therefore I included it in al-Ṣaḥīḥah, no. 109.
106 – The hadith of ʿĀʾishah: when Ibn ʿAbbās entered upon her as she was dying, he said to her, “You were the most beloved of the Messenger of Allah’s wives, and he loved only what is wholesome; Allah revealed your acquittal from above the seven heavens.”
ʿUthmān al-Dārimī narrated it in al-Radd ʿalā Bishr ibn Ghiyāth al-Marīsī (p. 105).
92 – Same page, Anṣār al-Sunnah print, Egypt; it is also found in al-Radd ʿalā al-Jahmiyyah (pp. 27-28, Islamic Office edition), and its chain is sound according to Muslim’s criteria.
107 – The hadith of Qatādah: he said, “The Children of Israel said, ‘Our Lord, You are in heaven and we are on earth; how shall we know Your pleasure from Your anger?’ He said, ‘When I am pleased with you, I appoint your best people over you; when I am angry with you, I appoint your worst people over you.’”
This report is firmly established from Qatādah, one of the great masters of hadith.
