53- The hadith of Mujāhid: He related that ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar said, “Allah created four things with His own Hand: the Throne, the Pen, Adam, and the Garden of ʿAdn. Then He said to all the remaining creation, ‘Be,’ and it was.” Its chain of transmission is good.
42- Al-Dārimī recorded it (pp. 35, 90), Abū Shaykh in al-ʿAẓamah (35/2 and 209/2), and al-Lālakāʾī (1/97/1) with an authentic isnād meeting Muslim’s criterion.
54- A number of the Prophet’s Companions, commenting on His words, “then He turned toward the heaven” (Qur’an 2:29), said: “The Throne of Allah, exalted is He, was upon the water and He had created nothing before the water. When He wished to bring the creation into existence, He drew from the water a vapor that rose up; then He dried the water and made it land, after which He split it and fashioned it into seven earths … until he said: When Allah had finished creating whatever He willed, He ascended above the Throne.” Ibn Jarīr al-Ṭabarī related it in his Tafsīr and al-Bayhaqī in al-Ṣifāt.
43- I say: Its chain is sound; al-Bayhaqī cites it on pp. 379-380, and Ibn Khuzaymah likewise recorded it (p. 243).
55- The hadith of Abū Hurayrah – may Allah be pleased with him – from the Prophet ﷺ: “Seven will be shaded by Allah in His shade on the Day when there is no shade but His: a just ruler …” and he mentioned the remainder of the report. Al-Bukhārī narrated it.
56- Another narration from Abū Hurayrah, traced back to the Prophet: “Allah, exalted be He, will say, ‘Where are those who loved one another for My majesty? Today I shall shade them in the shade of My Throne, on a day when there is no shade but Mine.’” Reports concerning the shade of the Throne are so numerous that they reach the level of tawātur (mass transmission).
44- This is an authentic hadith. Aḥmad (2/338, 370, 523) recorded it through the route of Fulyḥ, from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Maʿmar Abū Ṭuwālah, from Saʿīd ibn Yasār, from Abū Hurayrah. Through this same chain
