“And whoever brings the truth and affirms it—it is they who are the God-fearing.”

When explaining the distinction between the Prophet, the soothsayer, and the sorcerer, Allah Most High said:

“Indeed, this is a revelation from the Lord of all worlds, brought down by the Trustworthy Spirit upon your heart, so that you may be one of the warners, in a clear Arabic tongue. And it is indeed mentioned in the scriptures of former peoples.”

Then, further on, He says:

“Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? They descend upon every sinful liar. They lend an ear, and most of them are liars.”

Allah Most High also said:

“And who is more unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah, or says, ‘Revelation has come to me,’ when nothing has been revealed to him, or one who says, ‘I will send down the like of what Allah has sent down’?”

And Allah Most High said:

“O you who believe, stand firmly for justice as witnesses for Allah, even against yourselves, your parents, or close relatives, whether one is rich or poor.”
