—indeed, whoever obeys one messenger has obeyed all the messengers; whoever believes in one of them has believed in them all; whoever disobeys one of them has disobeyed them all; and whoever rejects one of them as false has rejected them all. For each messenger affirms the truthfulness of the others, declares each to be a truthful messenger, and commands obedience to him. Thus, whoever rejects a messenger has rejected the one who affirmed his truthfulness, and whoever disobeys him has disobeyed the one who commanded obedience to him.

For this reason, the religion of the prophets is one, as related in the two Sahīh collections from Abū Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“We prophets share one religion.”

Allah Most High says:

“He has ordained for you the religion He enjoined upon Noah, and that which We have revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: uphold the religion and do not become divided over it.”

Allah Most High also says:

“O messengers, eat of good things and do righteous deeds. Indeed, I know all that you do.”

“And indeed, this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me.”

“But they divided their religion among themselves into sects, each faction rejoicing in what it had.”

Allah Most High also says:

“So set your face toward the religion, inclining to the truth—the natural disposition Allah has instilled in mankind. There is no altering Allah’s creation. That is the upright religion, but most people do not know.”

“Turn to Him in repentance, fear Him, establish prayer, and do not be among those who associate partners with Allah—”

“Those who divided their religion and became sects, each faction rejoicing in what it had.”

The religion of all the prophets is Islam, as Allah has stated in numerous places.
