The purpose here is not to give an exhaustive account of what is affirmed of Him, what He is declared free of, or the ways of establishing these matters, for this is discussed at length elsewhere. Rather, the purpose here is to draw attention to the general principles governing these matters and the ways of establishing them.
Whatever revelation neither affirms nor denies, and for which reason provides no grounds for either affirmation or negation, we leave unaddressed, neither affirming nor denying it. Thus, we affirm what we know to be established, deny what we know to be negated, and remain silent about what we do not know to be either negated or established. And Allah knows best.
