from Allah. Whoever does what he has been commanded according to his circumstances—exercising independent judgment to the extent he is able, or following scholarly authority when unable to exercise independent judgment, while being fair in doing so—follows a balanced course. For commands are conditional upon ability:
“Allah does not burden any soul beyond its capacity.”
Thus, in every situation, a Muslim must submit himself to Allah while doing good, and remain steadfast in this submission. Submitting himself means being sincere to Allah, and doing good means performing good deeds. Reflect on this, for it is a comprehensive, beneficial, and momentous principle.
{لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إلَّا وُسْعَهَا}
