so Allah lifted this detestation from them through the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He sent him as a mercy to the worlds, a clear path for seekers, and a proof against all creation. He made it obligatory upon His servants to obey him, love him, support him, honour him, and fulfil the duties owed to him. He closed every path to Himself except the path of His Messenger. He took pledges and solemn covenants from all the Prophets and Messengers to believe in him and follow him, and commanded them to take those same covenants from the believers who followed them.
Allah sent him with guidance and the religion of truth before the coming of the Hour, as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner, one who calls to Allah by His permission, and an illuminating lamp. Through him He brought the succession of Messengers to its close, guided people out of misguidance, and taught them what they did not know. Through his message He opened blind eyes, deaf ears, and closed hearts. Through his message the earth shone after its darkness, and hearts were united after their division. Through it He set right the religion that had become distorted and made the radiant path clear. He opened his heart, relieved him of his burden, exalted his renown, and imposed humiliation and abasement upon those who opposed his command.
He sent him after an interval without Messengers, when the scriptures had faded away, words had been distorted, and revealed laws had been altered. Every people relied upon their darkest opinions, making judgments concerning Allah and among His servants according to their corrupt doctrines and desires. Through him Allah guided creation, made the path clear, brought people out of darkness into light, gave them sight after blindness, and guided them out of error. He made him the dividing line between Paradise and Hell, distinguished the righteous from the wicked, and made guidance and success lie in following him and conforming to his way
