As for those who associate partners with Allah, they take rivals and intercessors whom they invoke besides Allah. Allah Most High says:

“You have come to Us alone, just as We created you the first time, leaving behind all that We bestowed upon you. We do not see with you those intercessors whom you claimed to be Allah’s partners in your affairs. The bonds between you have been severed, and all that you claimed has vanished from you.”

Allah Most High also says:

“Why should I not worship the One who created me, and to whom you will be returned?”

“Should I take other gods besides Him? If the Most Merciful intends harm for me, their intercession will avail me nothing, nor can they rescue me.”

“Then I would surely be in manifest error.”

“Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me.”

Allah Most High says:

“Warn with it those who fear being gathered before their Lord, with no protector or intercessor besides Him, so that they may become mindful of Him.”

Allah Most High also says:

“It is not for any human being to whom Allah has given the Scripture, judgment, and prophethood to then say to people, ‘Be my worshippers instead of Allah’s.’ Rather, ‘Be devoted to the Lord through your teaching of the Scripture and through your study of it.’”

“Nor would he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to disbelieve after you have submitted to Allah?”

Allah Most High sent the messengers and revealed the Scriptures so that all worship would be devoted to Allah alone. The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said in an authentic hadith:

“We prophets share one religion.”

Thus, the religion is one, even though the prescribed laws and ways differ. Allah Most High says:

“We never sent a messenger before you without revealing to him: ‘There is no god but Me, so worship Me.’”

Allah Most High also says:

“Ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you: Did We appoint gods besides the Most Merciful to be worshipped?”

Allah Most High says: “We certainly sent a messenger to every nation

وَأَمَّا أَهْلُ الشِّرْكِ فَيَتَّخِذُونَ أَنْدَادًا وَشُفَعَاءَ يَدْعُونَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَادَى كَمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُمْ مَا خَوَّلْنَاكُمْ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَى مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَاءُ لَقَدْ تَقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْكُمْ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ} وَقَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا لِيَ لَا أَعْبُدُ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ} {أَأَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إنْ يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمَنُ بِضُرٍّ لَا تُغْنِ عَنِّي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُنْقِذُونِ} {إنِّي إذًا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ} {إنِّي آمَنْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ} وَقَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: {وَأَنْذِرْ بِهِ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْ يُحْشَرُوا إلَى رَبِّهِمْ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ وَلِيٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ} وَقَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: {مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا عِبَادًا لِي مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنْ كُونُوا رَبَّانِيِّينَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ الْكِتَابَ وَبِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ} {وَلَا يَأْمُرَكُمْ أَنْ تَتَّخِذُوا الْمَلَائِكَةَ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ أَرْبَابًا أَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إذْ أَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ} . وَاَللَّهُ تَعَالَى بَعَثَ الرُّسُلَ وَأَنْزَلَ الْكُتُبَ لِيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّهِ وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ الصَّحِيحِ: {إنَّا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ دِينُنَا وَاحِدٌ} . فَالدِّينُ وَاحِدٌ وَإِنْ تَفَرَّقَتْ الشِّرْعَةُ وَالْمِنْهَاجُ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إلَّا نُوحِي إلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِ} وَقَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاسْأَلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا أَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَنِ آلِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ} وَقَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا
