Majmu' al-FatawaIbn Taimiya

wisdom, as He says:

“The handiwork of Allah, who has perfected all things.”

And He, Most High, says:

“Who perfected everything He created.”

Thus, Allah has a wise purpose in every created thing. Yet this is a vast subject, which we have discussed at length elsewhere. The point here is to draw attention to the fact that a particular thing may be loved in one respect and disliked in another, and that this is the true nature of hesitation. Just as this applies to actions, it also applies to persons. And Allah knows best.
