is a baseless, fabricated hadith, though al-Tirmidhī and others have transmitted it. Rather, he said to Mecca:
“You are the most beloved of Allah’s lands to me.”
And he said:
“You are indeed the most beloved of lands to Allah.”
As for what they relate from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace:
“Whoever visits me and my father Abraham in the same year will enter Paradise.”
This is a fabricated lie, transmitted by none of the scholars of hadith.
As for what they relate from ʿAlī, may Allah be pleased with him, that a Bedouin pecked through his prayer, and ʿAlī told him, “Do not peck through your prayer,” whereupon the Bedouin replied, “O ʿAlī, had your father pecked through it, he would not have entered the Fire”—this is a lie.
As for what they relate about ʿUmar—that he killed his father—this is a lie, for his father died before the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was sent as a messenger.
As for what they relate from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace:
“I was a prophet when Adam was between water and clay.”
And:
“I was a prophet when Adam was neither water nor clay.”
This wording is false and baseless.
As for what they relate:
“The unmarried man’s bed is made of fire. Pitiable is a man without a wife, and pitiable is a woman without a husband.”
These are not the words of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
