“The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prohibited two kinds of sale and two ways of wearing garments: a man wearing a single garment, wrapping himself in it and throwing one of its sides over his shoulder; sitting with his knees drawn up and held against his body by a single garment; and saying, ‘Throw your garment to me, and I will throw mine to you,’ without either examining the garments.”
He was born in Harrān in 585 AH and died in Damascus in Shabān 670 AH.
