Majmu' al-FatawaIbn Taimiya

and likewise, if He declares Himself above begetting—whereby the substance of offspring, the noblest of substances, would issue from Him—then He is all the more emphatically above having the substance of anything other than offspring issue from Him. And if He declares Himself above having substances from which creatures are made issue from Him, then He is all the more emphatically above having waste products issue from Him that are unfit to serve as such material.

A human being produces the substance of offspring, as well as substances from which other things arise, as lice, worms, and other creatures are created from his sweat and bodily moisture. Mucus, saliva, and other things also issue from him. Allah has freed the people of Paradise from having any of these things issue from them. The Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, reported that they neither urinate nor defecate, neither spit nor blow their noses; that what issues from them is like the perspiration of musk; and that they have intercourse with a male organ that never becomes concealed and desire that never ceases, without semen or death. If one of them desires a child, its gestation and birth take place in a short time.

This therefore entails His declaring Himself above having offspring or having anything issue from Him as it does from created beings. This, too, is part of the full meaning of al-Samad, as explained earlier: He is the One from whom nothing issues. Likewise, His declaring Himself above being begotten—and thus above originating from another like Himself—means that He is all the more emphatically above originating from any other substance. It has already been stated in the hadith of Ubayy ibn Ka‘b that everything born will die
