“They do not speak before He does, and they act at His command.”

“He knows what is before them and what is behind them. They intercede only for those He approves, and they stand in awe of Him.”

“Should any of them say, ‘I am a god besides Him,’ We would repay him with Hell. Thus do We repay the wrongdoers.”

And He says:

“Allah has said, ‘Do not take two gods. He is only One God, so fear Me alone.’”

“To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him obedience is always due.”

Up to His words:

“And they assign a share to what they do not know.”

Up to His words:

“And they attribute daughters to Allah—glory be to Him!—while they have what they desire.”

And He says:

“Do not set up another god alongside Allah, lest you be cast into Hell, blamed and banished.”

“Has your Lord favoured you with sons and taken daughters for Himself from among the angels? You are indeed making an outrageous claim.”

“We have explained things in various ways in this Quran so that they may take heed, but it only increases their aversion.”

“Say, ‘If there were other gods alongside Him, as they claim, they would surely have sought a way to the Lord of the Throne.’”

And He says:

“Ask them, then: Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses? Indeed, it is out of their falsehood that they say, ‘Allah has begotten,’ and they are certainly liars. Has He chosen daughters over sons? What is the matter with you? How do you judge? Will you not take heed? Or do you have clear authority? Then bring your scripture, if you are truthful.”

“They have claimed a kinship between Him and the jinn, yet the jinn know that they will surely be brought forth.”

“Glorified is Allah above what they ascribe to Him.”

“Except Allah’s chosen servants.”

“For neither you nor what you worship can lead anyone astray from Him, except one who will burn in Hell.”

And He says:

“Have you considered al-Lāt and al-ʿUzzā, and Manāt, the third, the other one? Are males for you and females for Him? That would indeed be an unjust division.”

“They are nothing but names
