are liars,” and in His words:

“Yet they have made the jinn partners with Allah, though He created them, and have falsely attributed to Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Glorified and exalted is He above what they ascribe to Him!”

“Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a child when He has no consort? He created all things, and He has knowledge of all things.”

encompasses all the forms reported in this regard from various nations. Likewise, His denial that He has taken a child encompasses all forms of taking chosen individuals as children, as the Most High says:

“The Jews and the Christians say, ‘We are the children of Allah and His beloved.’ Say, ‘Why, then, does He punish you for your sins? Rather, you are human beings among those He has created.’ He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and everything between them, and to Him is the final return.”

Al-Suddī said:

They said, “Allah revealed to Israel: ‘Your offspring are My firstborn among children. I shall admit them to the Fire, where they will remain for forty days until it purifies them and consumes their sins. Then a caller will proclaim: “Bring out every circumcised member of the Children of Israel.”’”

The Most High also says:

“Allah has not taken any child, nor has there ever been any god alongside Him.”

And He says:

“Say, ‘Praise be to Allah, who has not taken a child, who has no partner in His dominion, and who needs no protector out of weakness.’”

And He says:

“Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His servant, so that he may be a warner to all the worlds—He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, who has not taken a child and has no partner in His dominion, and who created all things and determined them precisely.”

And He says:

“They say, ‘The Most Merciful has taken a child.’ Glory be to Him! Rather, they are honoured servants.”
