He was also asked:

Should someone reciting the Quran recite (Surah al-Ikhlās) once or three times? What is the Sunnah in this regard?

He replied:

When reciting the entire Quran, one should recite this surah only once, as it appears in the written copy. This is what the scholars have stated, so that nothing is added to what is in that copy. But when reciting it on its own or together with part of the Quran, reciting it three times is equivalent to the Quran. And Allah knows best.
