Majmu' al-FatawaIbn Taimiya

“Do those who commit evil deeds think that We will make them like those who believe and do righteous deeds—equal in their life and their death? How evil is their judgment!”

He thus made clear that this judgment is evil in itself; judging them to be equal is not equivalent to recognizing their differing merits.

Then He said:

“Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth, so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.”

He declared that He created creation to recompense every soul for what it has earned, and that He wrongs no one by diminishing any of their good deeds. Rather, as He said:

“They will find all that they did present before them, and your Lord wrongs no one.”

In several places in the Quran, He has declared Himself free of wronging any of His creatures by withholding their reward or burdening them with another’s sin. He Most High said:

“Whoever does righteous deeds while being a believer need fear neither injustice nor deprivation.”

He Most High also said:

“Do not dispute before Me, for I had already given you warning.”

“My word cannot be changed, and I am never unjust to My servants.”

He Most High also said:

“These are some of the accounts of the towns which We relate to you; some are still standing, while others have been mown down.”

“We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. The gods they invoked besides Allah availed them nothing when your Lord’s command came; they only increased them in ruin.”

In the authentic divine hadith, He says:

“O My servants, I have forbidden injustice to Myself and have made it forbidden among you, so do not wrong one another.”

The Qadariyyah’s claim that His favoring some of His servants over others through His grace and kindness constitutes injustice stems from their ignorance. Likewise, His recompensing them for their deeds, which came to pass
