Thus, His servants should fear none but Allah, as the Most High says:

“So do not fear people, but fear Me.”

The Most High also says:

“Those to whom people said, ‘The people have gathered against you, so fear them,’ but this only increased their faith, and they said, ‘Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.’”

“So they returned with blessings and bounty from Allah, untouched by any harm.”

Then, further on, He says:

“It is only Satan who frightens you with his allies. So do not fear them, but fear Me.”

Likewise, they should place their hope in none but Allah. Allah the Most High says:

“Whatever mercy Allah opens up for people, none can withhold; and whatever He withholds, none can release after Him. And He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.”

The Most High also says:

“Say, ‘Have you considered those you invoke besides Allah? If Allah intends harm for me, can they remove His harm? Or if He intends mercy for me, can they withhold His mercy?’ Say, ‘Allah is sufficient for me. In Him alone those who trust must put their trust.’”

They should put their trust in none but Allah, as the Most High says:

“And in Allah let those who trust put their trust.”

They should worship none but Allah, as the Most High says:

“They were commanded only to worship Allah, sincerely devoting their religion to Him, inclining to truth, to establish prayer and to give the prescribed charity. That is the upright religion.”

They should invoke none but Allah, as the Most High says:

“The mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone alongside Allah.”

The Most High also says:

“So do not invoke another deity alongside Allah, lest you be among those punished.”

This applies whether their invocation takes the form of worship or of asking.
