For the former denies their existence, while the latter entails hatred of them and aversion to what they brought. Allah Most High says:

“That is because they hated what Allah revealed, so He rendered their deeds worthless.”

He also related the words of the believer from Pharaoh’s household:

“Joseph had already come to you before with clear proofs, yet you remained in doubt about what he brought you. Then, when he died, you said, ‘Allah will never send a messenger after him.’ Thus does Allah lead astray whoever is a transgressor, full of doubt.”

As for anyone who denies the messengers after they have been sent, his disbelief is evident. But someone may suppose that Allah will send him no messenger and that he will be left without purpose, neglected, neither commanded nor forbidden. This too is something Allah has condemned, when messengers must necessarily be sent and scriptures revealed, just as deeds must necessarily be recompensed with reward and punishment, and the Resurrection must take place. Thus He, glorified be He, rebukes those who suppose that this will not happen. Allah Most High says:

“We did not create the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve. So woe to those who disbelieve because of the Fire!”

“Or should We treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like those who spread corruption on earth? Or should We treat the righteous like the wicked?”

Allah Most High also says:

“Did you then think that We created you without purpose and that you would not be returned to Us?”

Allah Most High also says:

“We did not create the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except in truth. The Hour is certainly coming, so pardon graciously.”

“Indeed, your Lord is the Creator, the All-Knowing.”

He also says:

“Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth, so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.”
