And he also said:

Allah Most High says:

“Whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him,

and provide for him from where he does not expect. Whoever puts his trust in Allah, He will suffice him. Allah will surely accomplish His purpose. Allah has appointed a measure for everything.”

It has been reported from Abū Dharr that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “If all people were to act upon this verse, it would suffice them.”

Some of the early generations explained His words “a way out” as meaning a way out of everything that causes people distress. This verse corresponds to His words:

“You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help,”

which encompass the knowledge contained in all the divinely revealed scriptures.

This is because fearing Allah is the worship that He has commanded. Fearing Allah, worshipping Him, and obeying Him are closely related, equivalent, and inseparable expressions. Putting one’s trust in Him means seeking His help. Thus, “Whoever fears Allah” corresponds to “You alone we worship,” and “Whoever puts his trust in Allah” corresponds to “You alone we ask for help.” As He says:

“So worship Him and put your trust in Him.”

And He says:

“In You we have put our trust, and to You we turn.”

And He says:

“In Him I have put my trust, and to Him I turn.”

He then made fearing Him yield two benefits: that He would make a way out for a person and provide for him from
