those who support Him,” up to His words:

“the outcome of all affairs.”

And He says:

“They strive in Allah’s cause and do not fear the blame of any critic.”

As for those who commit acts of sexual immorality, who neither lower their gaze nor guard their chastity, Allah has described them in opposite terms: intoxication, blind wandering, ignorance, lack of reason, lack of sound judgment, hatred, and the obliteration of sight. This is in addition to His descriptions of their filth, defiance, aggression, excess, evil, indecency, corruption, and criminality.

He says of the people of Lot:

“Rather, you are an ignorant people.”

Thus He describes them as ignorant. And He says:

“By your life, they wander blindly in their intoxication.”

And He says:

“Is there not a single right-minded man among you?”

And He says:

“So We obliterated their sight.”

And He says:

“Rather, you are a people who transgress all bounds.”

And He says:

“So see what was the fate of the criminals.”

And He says:

“Indeed, they were an evil, defiantly disobedient people.”

And He says:

“Do you indeed approach men, waylay travelers, and commit evil in your gatherings?”

Up to His words:

“Help me against the corrupt people.”

And up to His words:

“because of their defiant disobedience.”

And His words:

“Marked by your Lord for those who transgress all bounds.”
