And if he openly denounces them and declares them unbelievers, they say:
“He has assumed the role of one who objects, to complete the ranks and manifestations.”
They say the same about the prophets and their prohibition of idol worship. All this, and similar things, I have seen and heard from them. Their misguidance is immense, their lies grievous, and their deception profound. Allah Most High makes manifest the guidance and the religion of truth with which He sent His Messenger, to make it prevail over all religion. And sufficient is Allah as Witness. Allah knows best.
وَإِذَا أَظْهَرَ الْإِنْكَارَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَالتَّكْفِيرَ قَالُوا:
هَذَا قَامَ بِوَصْفِ الْإِنْكَارِ لِتَكْمِيلِ الْمَرَاتِبِ وَالْمَجَالِي. وَهَكَذَا يَقُولُونَ فِي الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَنَهْيِهِمْ عَنْ عِبَادَةِ الْأَصْنَامِ. وَهَذَا كُلُّهُ وَأَمْثَالُهُ مِمَّا رَأَيْته وَسَمِعْته مِنْهُمْ. فَضَلَالُهُمْ عَظِيمٌ وَإِفْكُهُمْ كَبِيرٌ وَتَلْبِيسُهُمْ شَدِيدٌ. وَاَللَّهُ تَعَالَى يُظْهِرُ مَا أَرْسَلَ بِهِ رَسُولَهُ مِنْ الْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَكَفَى بِاَللَّهِ شَهِيدًا وَاَللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
