Shaykh al-Islām—may Allah have mercy on him—said:

Section

Allah Most High said:

“And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and justice. None can alter His words, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”

This comes after His words:

“And thus We have appointed for every prophet enemies—devils from humankind and jinn—who whisper to one another embellished words to deceive. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and what they fabricate.”

“And so that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline toward it, be pleased with it, and commit whatever they commit.”

“Then should I seek a judge other than Allah, when it is He who has sent down to you the Book, explained in detail? Those to whom We gave the Scripture know that it has been sent down from your Lord in truth. So never be among the doubters.”

Then He said:

“And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and justice. None can alter His words, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”

Allah Most High also said:

“And recite what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord. None can alter His words, and you will never find any refuge besides Him.”

In these two verses, He states that none can alter the words of Allah, and in the first, that they have been fulfilled in truth and justice. It has been established through mass transmission “from the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—
