“And seek your Lord’s forgiveness, then turn to Him in repentance.”
Seeking provision and seeking victory, as in the prayer for rain and supplications against enemies during prayer. He said:
“So seek provision from Allah, worship Him, and give thanks to Him.”
And He said:
“If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; but if He forsakes you, who can help you after Him? So let the believers put their trust in Allah.”
Seeking help in distress, as He said:
“When you sought your Lord’s help, He answered you.”
Seeking protection, as He said:
“Say, ‘In whose hand is the dominion over all things, who grants protection while none can grant protection against Him, if you know?’ They will say, ‘Allah’s.’ Say, ‘How, then, are you deluded?’”
Seeking refuge, as He said:

And He said:
“So when you recite the Quran”—and the rest of the verse.

And He said:
“And warn with it those who fear being gathered before their Lord: they have neither protector nor intercessor besides Him.”
And He said:
“Allah is the One who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then rose over the Throne. You have neither protector nor intercessor besides Him.”
The protector is the one who takes charge of all your affairs, while the intercessor assists in them—that is, serves as a helper. Thus, besides Allah, the servant has neither a protector who acts independently nor a supporting helper.
And He said:
“If Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it except Him; and if He intends good for you, none can repel His bounty.”
And He said:
“Whatever mercy Allah opens up for people, none can withhold; and whatever He withholds, none can release after Him.”
And He said:
“Or have they taken, besides
