Likewise, if someone says, “Muhammad and his community shed blood and spread corruption on earth,” this would be a condemnation of them, and it would be false. But if someone says, “They fight in Allah’s cause so that Allah’s word may be supreme and all worship may be devoted to Allah alone, and they kill those who prevent them from doing so,” this would be praise of them, and it would be true.

Thus, if someone says, “The Lord, blessed and exalted is He, is Wise and Merciful. He has made everything He created excellent and perfected all that He has fashioned. He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy, more merciful to His servants than a mother is to her child. All good is in His hands, and evil is not ascribed to Him. Rather, He does nothing but good. Whatever pain He has created for some living beings, or whatever blameworthy deeds of theirs He has created, He has great wisdom and immense blessings in these things”—this would be true, and it would constitute praise and commendation of the Lord.

But if someone says, “He creates evil in which there is no good or benefit for anyone, with neither wisdom nor mercy, and He punishes people without their having sinned,” this would not constitute praise or commendation of the Lord, but the very opposite.

Some of these people even say, “Allah Most High is more harmful to His creation than Iblīs.” A detailed explanation of the falsity of their claims belongs elsewhere.
