“All speech in existence is His speech;
Its prose and verse are alike to us.”

Thus they make the speech of created beings—including unbelief, lies, and other such things—the speech of Allah. This heretic, however, went further than they did, making the speech and worship of created beings identical with His existence. He did not regard these as His speech; rather, he denied that they were His speech, lest he affirm anything other than Him.

The Quran, the Sunnah, consensus, and self-evident rational knowledge establish that things other than Allah Most High exist, and that all created things besides Him are other than Allah Most High: they are neither Allah nor any of His attributes. This is why Allah condemned those who worshipped others besides Him—if nothing other than Him existed, such condemnation would not be valid. Allah Most High says:

“Say, ‘Is it other than Allah that you order me to worship, O ignorant ones?’”

And He Most High says:

“Say, ‘Should I take as a protector anyone other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth?’”

And He Most High says:

“Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth?”

And He Most High says:

“Then should I seek a judge other than Allah, when it is He who has sent down to you the Book explained in detail?”

Likewise, the statement:

“I found that love is not the intended goal, because it can only be from one to another, and no other exists. And I found that monotheism is not the intended goal, because monotheism can only be a servant’s affirmation of a Lord’s oneness. If people were fair, they would see neither a servant nor an object of worship.”

This is speech whose unbelief, heresy, and contradiction are plain.
