Shaykh al-Islām Abū al-Abbās Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah al-Harrānī al-Dimashqī also said:

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all worlds. May Allah bless our master Muhammad and his family, and grant them peace.

Section

Allah Most High says:

“We never sent any messenger or prophet before you but that, when he recited, Satan cast something into his recitation.”

Through to His words:

“So that He may make what Satan casts a trial for those whose hearts are diseased and those whose hearts are hardened. Indeed, the wrongdoers are in profound opposition.”

“And so that those who have been given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord, believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. Indeed, Allah guides those who believe to a straight path.”

Allah has divided hearts into three types: hardened hearts, diseased hearts, and believing, humbly submissive hearts. This is because they are either dry

وَقَالَ شَيْخُ الْإِسْلَامِ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَد بْنُ تَيْمِيَّة الْحَرَّانِي الدِّمَشْقِيُّ: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصْلٌ: قَوْله تَعَالَى {وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولٍ وَلَا نَبِيٍّ إلَّا إذَا تَمَنَّى أَلْقَى الشَّيْطَانُ فِي أُمْنِيَّتِهِ} إلَى قَوْلِهِ: {لِيَجْعَلَ مَا يُلْقِي الشَّيْطَانُ فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَفِي شِقَاقٍ بَعِيدٍ} {وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ فَيُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ فَتُخْبِتَ لَهُ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهَادِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ} . جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الْقُلُوبَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَقْسَامٍ: قَاسِيَةً وَذَاتَ مَرَضٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةً مُخْبِتَةً؛ وَذَلِكَ لِأَنَّهَا إمَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ يَابِسَةً
