“The Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a child when He has no consort? He created all things, and He has knowledge of all things.”

“That is Allah, your Lord; there is no deity worthy of worship except Him, the Creator of all things. So worship Him, and He is the Guardian over all things.”

“No vision can encompass Him, but He encompasses all vision.”

And Allah Most High says:

“That is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things; there is no deity worthy of worship except Him. How then are you turned away?”

And Allah Most High says:

“To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He has taken no child and has no partner in His dominion. He created all things and determined them with precise determination.”

And Allah Most High says:

“Indeed, We have created all things according to a decree.”

And Allah Most High says:

“Is He who creates like one who does not create? Will you not then take heed?”

“If you tried to count Allah’s blessings, you could never enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

“Allah knows what you conceal and what you reveal.”

“Those they invoke besides Allah create nothing, while they themselves are created.”

“They are dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.”

Thus, the adherents of the Sunnah and the united community—the people of hadith—were the ones who followed Allah’s Book and believed in what these texts entail. They held that Allah is the Creator, Lord, Owner, Sovereign and Guardian of everything that comes into existence: all entities and attributes, all direct acts and acts resulting from them, and every movement, whether natural, voluntary or forced. They also held that He, glorified be He, has power over all things and knows all things. They therefore believed in His all-encompassing knowledge, His perfect power, His all-embracing will and His complete lordship. For this reason,
