He was also asked:
About those who perform feats with fire and put on displays involving arrows, saffron, and the like.
He replied:
As for those who put on “displays” involving arrows, saffron, musk, fire, and a robe, they are not among Allah’s righteous close friends. Rather, they belong to the factions of the devils. Their states are satanic, not miraculous gifts granted to the righteous. They corrupt minds, religious beliefs, and honour, as well as women and boys. Only someone steeped in ignorance, or an enemy of Allah and His Messenger, would think well of them. They are of the same kind as the Tatars who wage war against Allah and His Messenger. And Allah knows best.
وَسُئِلَ:
عَنْ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ النَّارَ وَالْإِشَارَاتِ مِثْلَ النَّبْلِ وَالزَّعْفَرَانِ وَغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ؟ .
فَأَجَابَ:
أَمَّا هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ يُظْهِرُونَ
" الْإِشَارَاتِ "
كَالنَّبْلِ وَالزَّعْفَرَانِ وَالْمِسْكِ وَالنَّارِ وَالْجُبَّةِ. فَلَيْسُوا مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ؛ بَلْ هُمْ مِنْ أَحْزَابِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَحْوَالُهُمْ شَيْطَانِيَّةٌ لَيْسَتْ مِنْ كَرَامَاتِ الصَّالِحِينَ وَهُمْ يُفْسِدُونَ الْعُقُولَ وَالْأَدْيَانَ وَالْأَعْرَاضَ وَالنِّسَاءَ وَالصِّبْيَانَ. وَلَا يُحْسِنُ الظَّنَّ بِهِمْ إلَّا جَاهِلٌ عَظِيمُ الْجَهَالَةِ أَوْ عَدُوٌّ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَإِنَّهُمْ مِنْ جِنْسِ التتر الْمُحَارِبِينَ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ. وَاَللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
