He was also asked:

About someone who forms bonds of brotherhood with women and performs feats resembling sleight of hand, such as tracing patterns on cotton or a piece of cloth with lādhan or something else, or holding fire directly in his palm or between his fingers, with nothing separating his skin from it, and so forth.

He replied:

As for forming bonds of brotherhood with women and displaying the feats mentioned, these are among the practices of the brethren of devils. Not one of those who perform these feats is a friend of Allah. Rather, they range between satanic states and lying imposture—states of Iblīs and settings for deception.

The underlying reality of their condition is that devils descend upon those who practise the lying and wickedness that Satan loves. When one of them abandons reason and religion and becomes one of the reckless—those who obey Satan and disobey the Most Merciful, making snorting and grunting noises like the braying of donkeys, attending listening sessions, forming bonds of brotherhood with women, taking neighbours as companions, dancing like monkeys, and pecking through the bowing and prostration in their prayers, while hating to hear the Quran and to follow the law of the Most Merciful—the devils who descend upon every sinful liar descend upon them.
