Moreover, making a vow in the first place is itself prohibited. It is established in the Sahīh that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade making vows and said:
“It brings no good; it merely extracts something from the miser.”
If a person does make a vow, he must fulfill whatever it entails of obedience to Allah, such as prayer, charity, fasting, and pilgrimage, but not what does not constitute obedience to Allah Most High.

As for men establishing bonds of brotherhood with non-mahram women, being alone with them, and looking at their concealed adornment, this is forbidden by the consensus of the Muslims. Whoever makes this part of religion is a brother of the devils. Allah Most High says:
“When they commit a shameful deed, they say, ‘We found our forefathers doing it, and Allah has commanded us to do it.’ Say, ‘Allah does not command shameful deeds. Do you say about Allah what you do not know?’”
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“Let no man be alone with a woman, for Satan is the third of them.”
He also said:
“Beware of entering upon women.” They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what about the husband’s male relative?” He replied, “The husband’s male relative is death.”
Whoever does not desist from this must receive a severe punishment that deters him and others like him who persist in corruption and defiance.
