Majmu' al-FatawaIbn Taimiya

scholars hold that they will enter Paradise. The majority of scholars also hold that the messengers were human and that no messenger was sent from among the jinn. There are, however, warners among them. A detailed discussion of these matters belongs elsewhere.

The point here is that relations between jinn and humans take various forms:

A human who commands the jinn to do what Allah and His Messenger have commanded—worshipping Allah alone and obeying His Prophet—and commands humans to do likewise is among the foremost allies of Allah Most High. In this capacity, he is one of the Messenger’s successors and deputies.

Someone who employs the jinn in matters lawful for him is like someone who employs humans in matters lawful for him. For example, he may command them to fulfill their obligations, forbid them from doing what is unlawful for them, and employ them in matters lawful for him. He thus stands in the position of kings who do the same. Supposing that he is one of the allies of Allah Most High, he belongs, at most, to the general ranks of Allah’s allies, standing as a prophet-king does in relation to a servant-messenger: as Solomon and Joseph stand in relation to Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon them all.

Whoever employs the jinn in what Allah and His Messenger forbid—whether in associating partners with Allah, killing someone whose life is inviolable, or committing aggression against such people short of killing them, such as making someone ill
