They are more susceptible to satanic experiences. It is established in the two Sahīh collections that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“May Allah curse the Jews and Christians; they took the graves of their prophets as places of worship.”

It is also established in Sahīh Muslim that, five nights before his death, he said:

“Among those most generous to me with their companionship and wealth is Abū Bakr. Were I to take an intimate friend from among the people of the earth, I would take Abū Bakr as an intimate friend. But your companion is Allah’s intimate friend. Let every small doorway into the mosque be sealed except the doorway of Abū Bakr. Those before you used to take graves as places of worship. Beware! Do not take graves as places of worship, for I forbid you to do so.”

The two Sahīh collections also relate that, during his illness, a church in Abyssinia was mentioned to him. They described its beauty and the images within it, and he said, “Whenever there died among those people
