Majmu' al-FatawaIbn Taimiya

to retrieve it, and found that the grave had been made spacious as far as the eye could see.

Ibrāhīm al-Taymī would go a month or two without eating anything. Once, he went out to obtain food for his family but could find none. He passed some red sandy soil and took some of it, then returned to his family. When he opened his bundle, he found red wheat inside. Whenever he sowed any of it, each ear grew densely packed with grain from its base to its tip.

‘Utba al-Ghulām had asked his Lord for three things: a beautiful voice, abundant tears, and food without toil. Whenever he recited, he would weep and move others to tears, and his tears flowed throughout his life. He would return home and find his sustenance there, without knowing where it came from.

‘Abd al-Wāhid ibn Zayd was afflicted with paralysis. He asked his Lord to restore movement to his limbs at the time of ablution. Whenever it was time for ablution, his limbs would regain their movement, then become paralyzed again afterward.

This is a vast subject, and the miraculous gifts granted to Allah’s close servants have been discussed at length elsewhere. As for the instances we know of concerning particular individuals, and those we know of in our own time, they are numerous.
