The miraculous favors granted to the Companions, the Successors after them, and all other righteous people are exceedingly numerous.

For example, “Usayd ibn Hudayr” was reciting Sūrat al-Kahf when something like a canopy containing lamps descended from heaven. These were angels who had descended because of his recitation. Angels used to greet ʿImrān ibn Husayn. Salmān and Abū al-Dardāʾ were eating from a dish when the dish—or its contents—glorified Allah. ʿAbbād ibn Bishr and Usayd ibn Hudayr left the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on a dark night, and a light like the tip of a whip shone for them. When they parted, the light divided, accompanying each of them. This was narrated by al-Bukhārī and others.

There is also the account of {al-Siddīq, recorded in the two Sahīh collections: he took three guests home with him, and whenever he ate a morsel, an even greater quantity grew beneath it. They ate their fill, and the food became more plentiful than it had been before. Abū Bakr and his wife looked at it and found that there was more than before. He took it to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Many people came to him, ate from it, and were satisfied}.

“Khubayb ibn ʿAdī” was held captive by the polytheists in Mecca—may Allah Most High honor it. Grapes would be brought to him to eat, although there was not a single grape in Mecca.

And “ʿĀmir ibn Fuhayrah: he was killed as a martyr, and they searched for his body but could not find it.
