As for the notion that creation is part of the Creator, exalted is He, this is blatant disbelief professed by Allah’s enemies—the Christians, extremists among the Rāfidah, and ignorant Sufis. Whoever believes it is a disbeliever.

Indeed, believers who know Allah and love Him attain stations of nearness and degrees of certainty that words can scarcely encompass, and that none truly knows except those who have reached and experienced them. Yet the Lord remains the Lord, and the servant remains the servant. Nothing of His creation is within His essence, nor is anything of His essence within His creation.

None of those who know Allah believes that the Lord, exalted is He, dwells within him or any other created being, or becomes united with him. If anything of this sort is heard attributed to some of the leading shaykhs, much of it is false, fabricated by the lying antinomian advocates of union with Allah, whom Satan has led astray and joined to the Christian community. What is authentically reported from the shaykhs has sound meanings. Some such utterances come from them when they are overwhelmed by a spiritual state that makes them, for that moment, like an intoxicated person who cannot discern what he is saying.
