“Its seal is musk—so for this let those who compete compete.”
“And its blend is from Tasnīm,”
“a spring from which those brought near drink.”
Ibn ‘Abbās said: “It is served mixed to those of the right, while those brought near drink it pure.”
It is established in the Sahīh that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
“When you hear the caller to prayer, repeat what he says, then invoke blessings upon me. Whoever invokes blessings upon me once, Allah will bless him ten times. Then ask Allah to grant me al-Wasīlah, for it is a rank in Paradise befitting only one of Allah’s servants, and I hope to be that servant. Whoever asks Allah to grant me al-Wasīlah will be entitled to my intercession on the Day of Resurrection.”
He thus stated that al-Wasīlah—which befits only one of Allah’s servants, and which he hoped would be his—is a rank in Paradise. Can there then be anything higher than al-Wasīlah, outside Paradise, that created beings could attain?
It is also established in the Sahīh, in the hadith about the angels who seek out people in gatherings of remembrance, that he said:
“They say to the Lord, blessed and exalted is He: ‘We found them glorifying You, praising You, and proclaiming Your greatness.’
“Then He says: ‘What do they seek?’
“They reply: ‘They seek Paradise.’
“Then He says: ‘Have they seen it?’
“They reply: ‘No.’
“Then He says: ‘What if they had seen it?’
“They reply: ‘Had they seen it, they would seek it even more earnestly.’
“He says: ‘From what do they seek refuge?’
“They reply: ‘They seek refuge from the Fire.’
“Then He says: ‘Have they seen it?’
“They reply: ‘No.’
