a revelation from the Lord of all worlds.”
He, Most High, also said:
“Indeed, it is a revelation from the Lord of all worlds, brought down by the trustworthy Spirit,”
up to His words:
“The devils did not bring it down,”
and onward to the end of the surah. In this surah, He described the distinguishing mark of lying soothsayers and misguided poets, and ruled out any association with either group, as in Sūrat al-Hāqqah.
He, Most High, also said:
“It is indeed the word of a noble messenger, endowed with power and held in high honour by the Lord of the Throne,”
and onward to the end of the surah. The messenger here is Gabriel, whereas in the first passage it is Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Thus, in the former passage He declared Muhammad to be neither a poet nor a soothsayer, while here He declared that the messenger sent to him was not one of the devils.
