in one of these categories: one who wrongs himself, one who follows a middle course, or one who is foremost in good deeds.
“Extraordinary occurrences” take the form either of unveiling, which is a kind of extraordinary knowledge, or of exercising power, which is a kind of extraordinary ability. Those who possess them fall within these same three categories.
مِنْ أَحَدِ هَذِهِ الْأَصْنَافِ:
إمَّا ظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ وَإِمَّا مُقْتَصِدٌ وَإِمَّا سَابِقٌ بِالْخَيِّرَاتِ. وَ
" خَوَارِقُ الْعَادَاتِ "
إمَّا مُكَاشَفَةٌ وَهِيَ مِنْ جِنْسِ الْعِلْمِ الْخَارِقِ وَإِمَّا تَصَرُّفٌ وَهِيَ مِنْ جِنْسِ الْقُدْرَةِ الْخَارِقَةِ؛ وَأَصْحَابُهَا لَا يَخْرُجُونَ عَنْ الْأَقْسَامِ الثَّلَاثَةِ.
