Allah, glorified be He, has told us of the repentance of Adam, Noah, and those who came after them, down to the last of the messengers, Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The last revelation he received—or among the last—was His saying, Most High:
“When Allah’s help comes and victory,
and you see people entering Allah’s religion in multitudes,
then glorify your Lord with praise and seek His forgiveness. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.”
In the two Sahīhs, ʿĀʾishah, may Allah be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, would frequently say while bowing and prostrating: “Glory be to You, O Allah, our Lord, and praise be to You.
