every sign, they will not believe in it. And if they see the path of right guidance, they will not take it as their way; but if they see the path of error, they will take it as their way.”

Arrogance necessarily entails associating partners with Allah, which is the opposite of Islam and the sin that Allah does not forgive. Allah Most High says:

“Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him, but He forgives whatever is less than that for whomever He wills. Whoever associates partners with Allah has indeed committed a tremendous sin.”

He also says:

“Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him, but He forgives whatever is less than that for whomever He wills. Whoever associates partners with Allah has indeed strayed far astray.”

Thus, all the prophets were sent with the religion of Islam. It is the religion besides which Allah accepts no other, whether from earlier or later generations.

Noah said:

“But if you turn away, I have asked you for no payment. My reward is only with Allah, and I have been commanded to be among the Muslims.”

Allah says concerning Abraham:

“And who would turn away from the faith of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself? We certainly chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter he will surely be among the righteous.”

“When his Lord said to him, ‘Submit,’ he said, ‘I have submitted to the Lord of all worlds.’”

Then, further on, He says:

“So do not die except as Muslims.”

Joseph said:

“Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous.”

Moses said:

“O my people, if you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him, if you are Muslims.”

“They said, ‘In Allah we have put our trust.’”

Allah Most High says:

“Indeed, We sent down the Torah, containing guidance and light. By it, the prophets who submitted to Allah judged for the Jews.”

Bilqīs said:

“My Lord, I have indeed wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to Allah, the Lord of all worlds.”
