Thus He, Most High, says:

“We never sent a messenger before you without revealing to him: ‘There is no god but Me, so worship Me.’”

And He says:

“We certainly sent a messenger to every nation, saying: ‘Worship Allah and shun false gods.’”

He, Most High, says to the Children of Israel:

“O My servants who believe, My earth is spacious, so worship Me alone.”

“And fear Me alone.”

And He says:

“O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, so that you may become righteous.”

And He says:

“I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.”

He, Most High, says:

“Say, ‘I have been commanded to worship Allah, devoting my religion sincerely to Him.’”

“And I have been commanded to be the first of the Muslims.”

“Say, ‘I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day.’”

“Say, ‘It is Allah I worship, devoting my religion sincerely to Him.’”

“So worship whatever you wish besides Him.”

Every messenger began his call by inviting people to worship Allah, as Noah and those who came after him—peace be upon them—said:

“Worship Allah; you have no deity worthy of worship except Him.”

In the Musnad, Ibn ‘Umar reports that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“I was sent with the sword ahead of the Hour, so that Allah alone would be worshipped, with no partner. My provision has been placed beneath the shade of my spear, and humiliation and abasement have been laid upon whoever opposes my command.”

He has also made it clear that His servants are those who are saved from evil. Satan said:

“My Lord, because You have caused me to go astray, I will surely make evil seem appealing to them on earth, and I will lead them all astray,”

“except Your chosen servants among them.”
