Shaykh al-Islām—may Allah have mercy on him—also said:
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. May Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad and his Companions and grant them peace.
Section: The Heart’s Illness and Its Cure
We have explained in several places that human well-being lies in justice, just as human corruption lies in injustice. Allah, glorified be He, gave man balance and proportion when He created him. His bodily health and well-being arise from the balance of his humours and organs, whereas illness consists in deviation and imbalance. Likewise, the heart’s uprightness, balance, moderation, health, well-being, and soundness are inseparable.
وَقَالَ شَيْخُ الْإِسْلَامِ - رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ -
أَيْضاً:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
فَصْل:
فِي مَرَضِ الْقُلُوبِ وَشِفَائِهَا
قَدْ ذَكَرْنَا فِي غَيْرِ مَوْضِعٍ:
أَنَّ صَلَاحَ حَالِ الْإِنْسَانِ فِي الْعَدْلِ كَمَا أَنَّ فَسَادَهُ فِي الظُّلْمِ. وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سُبْحَانَهُ عَدَلَهُ وَسَوَّاهُ لَمَّا خَلَقَهُ وَصِحَّةُ جِسْمِهِ وَعَافِيَتِهِ مِنْ اعْتِدَالِ أَخْلَاطِهِ وَأَعْضَائِهِ وَمَرَضُ ذَلِكَ الِانْحِرَافُ وَالْمَيْلُ. وَكَذَلِكَ اسْتِقَامَةُ الْقَلْبِ وَاعْتِدَالُهُ وَاقْتِصَادُهُ وَصِحَّتُهُ وَعَافِيَتُهُ وَصَلَاحُهُ مُتَلَازِمَةٌ.
